Registered nurse to the Psychiatric Clinic in Motala – Region Östergötland, Sweden

The Psychiatric Clinic in western Östergötland is a specialist psychiatric clinic divided into two general psychiatric units in Motala and Mjölby. We have one addiction team and one mobile team. The inpatient ward, is responsible for all inpatient care in the western part of the region and is located at the hospital in Motala.

Family work, support for relatives and care at home are important cornerstones in the business and the clinic's business concept is based on person-centered care, which includes being able to provide patients with early and needs-adapted interventions. We work on the basis of a cohesive care chain with treatment responsibilities in both outpatient and inpatient care.

Job description
We are looking for a general nurse or a nurse specialised in psychiatry to our psychiatric inpatient ward. The ward is a general psychiatric inpatient ward with thirteen care places. You will work in a team with proficient and experienced employees. We work in care teams and in close collaboration with our psychiatric outpatient clinics and the mobile teams. As a nurse, you are responsible for ensuring that the care in each given situation is of good quality and is based on the patient's needs and resources. Your role includes leading and distributing the work in the care team and to work for a positive climate in the workplace.

The position as a nurse includes working shifts (day, evening, night and weekends).

Requirements
Registered medical license within the EU/EEA
Basic computer skills in Microsoft office
English and Swedish language skills

Personal characteristics
You have a positive attitude, a good cooperative ability and can handle different situations in a constructive and flexible way. You enjoy working in teams with different professions.

Terms of employment
Before moving to Sweden you need to reach a certain level in the Swedish language and have your medical training recognized by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/en/licence-application/.

The employment will start with a trial period, combined with further language studies. If the trial period will be proved satisfactory and you demonstrate required skills recognized by the County Council of Östergötland, it will automatically turn into a permanent employment.  

All contracts follow local and national collective agreements. Salary are set individually depending on your qualification and experience.
