We are now searching for Operating room nurses to our Department of Cardiothorasic and Vascular surgery, University Hospital in Linköping. 

Job description

The Department of Cardiothorasic and Vascular surgery are the fourth largest in Sweden and divided in three sections, cardiothorasic surgery, vascular surgery and cardiovascular anesthesia and intensive care.

The department has four operation theaters. The operating room nurses should be able to work with both cardiothorasic and vascular surgery.

The section for cardiothorasic surgery perform a broad spectrum of cardiothorasic surgery. The section for vascular surgery perform both advanced endovascular operations and open vascular surgery.

The Department of Cardiothorasic and Vascular surgery are connected to the faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Linköping University. There are four professors and one associate professor working at the department. These are tutoring 10 PhD-students.

Requirements

Registered license as a nurse within the EU/EEA
Experience from surgery                                                                                                                    
Basic computer skills
English and Swedish language skills

Personal characteristics

You should have a positive attitude, a good cooperative ability and can handle different situations in a constructive way. You should enjoy working in teams with different professions.

Terms of employment

Before moving to Sweden you need to reach a certain level in the Swedish language and have your medical training recognized by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/en/licence-application/.

The employment will start with a trial period, combined with further language studies. If the trial period will be proved satisfactory and you demonstrate required skills recognized by the County Council of Östergötland, it will automatically turn into a permanent employment.

All contracts follow local and national collective agreements. Salary is set individually depending on your qualification and experience.
